ISABEL MARANT ETOILE
As a child of a French father and a German mother growing up with her stepmother from the West Indies, fashion designer Isabel Marant grew up in a multicultural environment. She created her first clothing line at the age of 16. Her passion for fashion turned into a vocation which made her launch “Aller Simple” with Christophe Lemaire in 1984. At that point, she began designing a jewellery line sporting her own name. Isabel Marant opened her first boutique in the 11th district of Paris in 1998. In contrast with the era's minimalism, her style is both bohemian and rock, with ethnic prints and embroidered tunics as well as dresses and jackets with practical cuts. Her collections for women create cool and comfortable silhouettes imbued with the Parisian spirit. Her creations quickly became famous in Parisian circles and beyond the French capital, they are very much appreciated in Japan. In 2000, Isabel Marant Étoile, the famous brand's little sister was born, offering classic pieces with feminine details. The wedged sneakers Beckett and the western-inspired booties Dicker are some of the brand's bestsellers. They are now part of every season's new collection.
