about the creator

Jérôme Dreyfuss

Born in Nancy in 1974, Jérôme Dreyfuss moved to Paris at the age of 17 to study fashion and to work with John Galliano's team. In 1998, at the age of 23, the designer launched his first feminine ready-to-wear label, “Couture à Porter”. Only four years later, he decided to create handbags, having noticed that his girlfriends didn't carry handbags because they hadn't found the bag of their dreams yet. His first accessory collection "Roots de Luxe" enjoyed instant success in 2002. Supple, feather-light handbags in discreet, elegant designs were a hit among young Parisian trendsetters. The label Jérôme Dreyfuss was born. The designer loves dreaming sophisticated accessories with ingenious details, such as interchangeable straps, extendable pockets, integrated mirrors and mini LED lamps. All of the bags are crafted in velvety calfskin, lamb or goat leather, and feature playful designs and prints to please any woman. Each of the bags is baptised with a male first name. Stars such as Julianne Moore, Keira Knightley, Sarah Jessica Parker and Beyoncé love Jérôme Dreyfuss's arm candy. Today, the pieces are available in more than 350 stores all over the world.
