The love story between Castañer and designer fashion took a decisive turn in 1970, when the brand created the first wedge espadrilles for Yves Saint Laurent. Since then, the Spanish firm has never stopped collaborating with fashion's best designers. In 2004, the brand launched two of their signature models: Carina and Pablo, one wedge and one flat espadrille, available in a wide range of colours.
